  2. 2 1/2 cup flour
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  5. 1 tsp baking soda
  6. 1 cup butter, softened
  7. 2 cup sugar
  8. 4 eggs
  9. 1 cup sour cream
  10. 1/2 cup milk
  11. 1 oz bottle Red Food coloring
  12. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  13. Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting
  14. 8 oz (1) package cream cheese, softened
  15. 1/4 cup butter
  16. 2 tsp sour cream
  17. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  18. 16 oz 1 box confectioners sugar

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in medium. Set aside.

    Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream, milk, food color and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until just blended. Do not over beat. spoon batter into either 30 paper lined cupcake cups or any cake pan of your choice.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted cupcake comes out clean. cool in pans on wire rack 5 minutes. Remove from pans; cool completely. Frost with vanilla cream cheese Frosting.

    vanilla cream cheese frosting: beat cream cheese, softened, butter, sour cream and vanilla extract in large bowl until light and fluffy. gradually beat in confectioners sugar until smooth.
