Paneer Shashslik tikkas are one of the most famous and easy to make starter. This restaurant Style dish is made by marinating cottage cheese and vegetables, and then grilling and smoking them. Smoking gives this dish a unique tandoori flavour.
Ingredients

200grm Paneer-

1/2 cup Capsicum -

¼th cup Tomato-

1/4 tsp Kasuri methi

1 tsp Chaat masala
-
2 tbsp Butter
-
1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 cup curd
-
1 1/2 tsp roasted Besan
-
1/4 haldi
-
1 small piece of coal
Cooking Instructions

Cut paneer into big cubes.

In a bowl take curd, ginger garlic paste, roasted gram flour (besan)

Add kasuri methi, green chilli, salt, haldi, Kashmiri red chilli powder and chaat masala. Mix them well.

Now add paneer cubes, diced onions, capsicum and tomatoes. Mix well.

Put them in skewers one by one, placing vegetables first and then paneer. Keep it aside for 1 hr.

Heat a grill pan. Apply mustard oil, nicely brush it. Now gradually place the paneer Sticks on the grill pan. (You can even grill it in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180° C)

Cook the paneer until it gets a good brown colour.

Now in a small katori, place a live charcoal and put 1 tspn butter. Quickly cover it with a cloche or any other vessel. Remove it after a minute.

Paneer Shashslik Tikka are ready to be served with your favourite accompaniments like chutney or salad.
