Ada pradhaman is a sweet pudding prepared out of ada(rice flakes) and milk. It is mainly prepared during festivals as an offering to God and it is favourite among all the payasams.
Soak ada(rice flakes) in hot water for 10 minutes. Drain away the water. You will get the ada in packet in the departmental stores or grocery stores or supermarkets
Cook milk, ada, sugar and cardamom powder in a vessel in medium flame and keep stirring at intervals for an hour till a thick consistency is formed.
Add 1 tablespoon ghee to it. Roast the cashewnuts and raisins in ghee and add to the pradhaman. Served either hot or chilled.
