Mambazha pulisseri is a sweet side dish for rice which is prepared with ripe mangoes.
Peel the ripe mangoes and make two deep cuts each on a mango on either side parallel to the seed of the mango.
Peel off the skin of the small onions. Cook the mangoes alongwith sliced green chillies, onions and curry leaves by adding salt and turmeric.
Add roasted and powdered fenugreek seeds to the above cooked preparation. Make a fine paste of grated coconut, cumin seeds and roasted red chilli and add it to the mixture.
Heat the mixture on a medium flame till it boils. When done, add curd to it and mix well. Do not boil after curd is added.
Add roasted mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies to pulisseri to form the tadka.
