Maddur vada is yet another vada which is an evening snack. Enjoy your vada with a cup of filter coffee.

Ingredients

  1. 1 Cup Rice Flour
  2. 1 Cup Rava
  3. 1/4 Cup Maida
  4. 1/4 Cup Peanuts
  5. 1 Onion
  6. 2 Tablespoons Sesame seeds
  7. 5 Green Chillies
  8. 1 Teaspoon Cumin seeds
  9. 1 Teaspoon Coconut (grated)
  10. Asafoetida
  11. Curry leaves
  12. Salt
  13. Oil

Method

  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Remove the skin of the peanuts and prepare a coarse mixture of it by crushing it in a mixer grinder.

    Grind green chillies and cumin seeds in a mixture grinder into a fine paste and keep it aside.

    Prepare a dough by mixing rice flour, rava, maida, chopped onions, sesame seeds, crushed peanuts, grated coconut, salt and curry leaves.

    Do not use water while preparing the dough. Instead, use oil.

    Prepare balls out of the dough. Pat the balls into circles using your hand.

    Deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown in color.
