Indian Chilli Chicken

A spicy Indian version of Chinese chilli chicken

  1. 1/2 Kilogram Chicken
  2. 2 Onions Chopped
  3. 1 Tomato
  4. 2 Tablespoons Garlic paste
  5. 1 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
  6. 10 Curryleaves
  7. 2 Green Chillies
  8. 1 Capsicum
  9. 1 Tablespoon Corn flour
  10. 1 Tablespoon Pepper Powder
  11. 1 Teaspoon garam masala
  12. 2 Tablespoons tomato Sauce
  13. 2 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  14. 1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
  15. 1 Teaspoon turmeric powder
  16. Coconut Oil
  17. Salt

  1. Add Photo

    Marinate the chicken pieces with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt for 15 to 30 minutes. Shallow fry the chicken pieces, and keep aside.

    Heat oil in a pan, and saute chopped onions and curry leaves. Once the onions become translucent, add green chillis, ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute or so.Add tomato pieces to this and saute till it's mixed well.

    Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan, along with pepper powder,garam masala, and salt, and mix well.

    Mix cornflour in a cup of water, and add to the chicken.

    Once the mixture starts boiling, add chopped capsicum, tomato sauce and soya sauce, and cook for another 5 minutes.
