  1. 1 Cup Prawns
  2. 10 Shallots Sliced
  3. 1 Potato
  4. 1 Drumstick
  5. 2 Greenchillies
  6. 4 kudampuli
  7. To Taste salt
  8. 1 Tomato
  9. 1 Cup Coconutgrated
  10. 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
  11. 1 Teaspoon chilly Powder
  12. 1 Teaspoon Coriander powder
  13. Coconut oil

  1. Add Photo

    Clean and wash the prawns.

  2. Add Photo

    Wash and soak the kudampuli in 1/4 cup warm water.

    Heat a pan and dry roast the grated coconut until they turn reddish brown. Now add the chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and switch off the stove. Grind to a fine paste when it cools down.

    Heat oil in a deep pan or manchatti/claypot. Add sliced shallots, drumstick,potato.Saute well till the potato are 1/2 done, add the tomatoes and prawns and saute for an other minute.

    Add the coconut paste, kudampuli, green chillies,salt and 1.5 cup water to this.

  6. Add Photo

    Cover with a lid and cook until the gravy is semi-thick for about 10 to 15 minutes. Add curry leaves.
