Aata Dosai

An emergency solution to satisfy sudden hunger when there is lack of resources and ingredients.

  1. 2 Cups Wheat flour
  2. 1/2 Cup Semoline (optional)
  3. 1 Cup Water
  4. Ginger Grated
  5. Green Chilli (finely chopped)
  6. Coriander leaves (sampled)
  7. Salt
  8. 1 Pinch Asafoetida

    Mix all ingredients in a dish. The mixture(batter) should be a loose paste.

    Heat a non-stick pan in slow flame.

    Pour the batter on the pan one spoon at a time and spread it outwards. (Keep the flame low always). In case no semolina is used, you can pour it in rings directly instead of spreading it. (The batter may stick otherwise)

    Wait for few minutes (you can also cover the pan for a fluffy dosa)

    Flip the dosa with a wooden flat spatula and let the other side cook for few minutes.

    Take the dosa out on a plate and serve it with green chutney, gun powder or any pickle.
