Green Chile Verde Sauce... my version

Ingredients

4-serving
  1. 6 - 8 Tomatillos
  2. 2 Serrano peppers
  3. 1 Green Bell pepper
  4. 1 carrot
  5. 1 Spanish onion med .
  6. 6 Cloves Garlic
  7. 1 Cup Cilantro leaves (fresh)
  8. To Taste Salt
  9. To Taste Pepper
  10. 2 limes , juiced

Method

  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Roughly dice bell pepper,onion,and carrot. Halve serranos and de-seed. Place all ingredients except cilantro in roasting pan and drizzle with oil, toss well with salt and pepper and roast at 450° for 30- 40 minutes.

    Remove from oven and cool. Working in batches, purée all ingredients in a blender. Transfer to saucepan and reduce by 1/4.
