Chocolate and orange is a fun combination and in my opinion, the darker the chocolate is, the better it gels with orange :D I made this sauce for an orange cheesecake. It can also be used over ice creams and in trifles.
Makes about a cup.
Boil the cream. Add orange zest to the boiled cream. Cover with a cling foil and let the zest steep in the cream for about 30 mins.
Boil together orange juice and sugar on a low - medium flame and let it reduce to a syrupy consistency (about 15 mins)
Add the orange juice reduction to the warm cream mixture.
Pour over the chocolate chocolate and whisk together until the chocolate has completely melted.
Let it cool completely before refrigerating it. It can be kept as is for about a month. To reuse, warm a little and pour over desserts.
