Ingredients

  1. 1 Kilo mutton
  2. 4 Onions Big
  3. 15 Green Chillies
  4. 1 Tablespoon Ginger Paste
  5. 1 Tablespoon Garlic Paste
  6. 1 Lemon
  7. 1/4 Cup Curd
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. Miint leaves
  10. 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  11. 1 Teaspoon Cumin powder
  12. 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  13. to fry onions Oil ,
  14. 0.75 Kilo Basmati Rice
  15. to taste Salt
  16. 3 Tablespoons Coconut
  17. 1 Teaspoon Poppy seeds

Cooking Instructions

    In a cooker, add mutton, and every other ingredient other than coconut, poppy seeds and onions.

    Cook on high flame for 2 whistles. Reduce flame after and cook for 15 minutes.

    Slice onions and deep fry till golden brown.

  4. 4

    Grind coconut and poppy seed to a fine paste.

  5. 5

    Add onion and the paste to the mutton. Reserve some onion for garnish.

    For the rice, put some ghee and washed drained rice. Saute for 10 minutes.

    Add water - a little less than double the quantity of the rice. Cook till the rice is done.

    Add rice to the mutton, layer with garam masala and ghee. Heat in low heat for 10 minutes.

    Garnish with fried onions, cashew nuts, coriander leaves.

    Serve hot with pickle, pappad, and raita.
