Jaggery pops that are absolutely delightful for an evening snack or as it helps me, they could steer your thinking with every pop.
Roast urad dal and powder it. Sieve the powder. Roast rice powder also.
Chop coconut into small pieces.(Or just grate)
Heat water in a pan. When it is hot, add jaggery to it to melt it. When the jaggery has metled, sieve it through a muslin cloth.
Add the sieved jaggery to the pan again and boil. When it is hot, add the rice powder, coconut pieces, sesame seeds and cardamom powder. Mix well and prepare the dough.
Prepare balls out of the dough and keep them aside. You can keep the dough aside for 30 minutes to let the dough absorb the flavors.
Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, deep fry the balls till they turn brown in color.
Allow the balls to cool and store it in a air tight container.
