Masal Vada / Masala Vadai

A crispy snack, which is also a best side dish!!!! Today I enjoyed with evening tea!:)



  1. 1 Cup Channa Daal / Kadalai Paruppu
  2. 1 Tablespoon Rice Flour
  3. 1 Onion (Chopped)
  4. 4 Green Chillies (Chopped)
  5. 1 Teaspoon Fennel
  6. 2 Tablespoons Coriander Chopped
  7. 1 Ginger Slice
  8. 4 Cloves Garlic
  9. 3/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  10. 1 Sprig Curry Leaves
  11. To Taste Salt

  1. Add Photo

    Soak channa dal for 3 - 4 hours. Drain channa dal completely and grind with ginger, garlic, chillies and fennel coarsely.

    Mix chopped onion, coriander, salt, rice flour and curry leaves in ground mixture.

    Make equal size balls uniformly and tap it to make flat; meanwhile heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry in medium flame and drain in paper towel. Serve with Coconut / Onion Chutney and hot tea.......yummmmm!!!!!
