Rajma Masala

Spicy curry that goes well with roti, rice or dosa.

  1. 1 Cup Rajma
  2. 1 Onion
  3. 1 Tomato
  4. 1 Green Chilli
  5. 1 Teaspoon Oil
  6. 2 Cloves Garlic
  7. 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  8. 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  9. 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin seed Powder
  10. 1/2 Teaspoon Rajma Masala
  11. 1 Bay Leaf
  12. 1 Cinnamon Stalk
  13. 3 Chillies Red
  14. To Taste Salt

  1. Add Photo

    Soak Rajma in water overnight.

  2. Add Photo

    Pressure cook Rajma so that it is soft and well cooked.

  3. Add Photo

    Heat oil in a pan. Add bayleaf, cinnamon and garlic cloves and stir fry.

  4. Add Photo

    Add chopped green chilies and stir fry. To this, add chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Add tomatoes.

  5. Add Photo

    To the above mixture, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, rajma masala and mix well.

  6. Add Photo

    To the above gravy, add the cooked rajma and a little water and mix well keeping the flame medium. When it is mixed well, add chopped red chilies to it.

  7. Add Photo

    Serve hot with roti or rice.
