Soya Chunks Fried Rice

This is a variation to the usual recipe of fried rice by adding soya chunks cooked in spices to the rice, that makes the dish healthier and tastier.

Ingredients

4-serving
  1. 1 Cup Rice
  2. 25 Soya Chunks
  3. 2 Onions
  4. 2 Tomatoes
  5. 2 Cloves
  6. 2 Cardamom
  7. 1 Cinnamon Stick
  8. Sprig Coriander Leaves
  9. 2 Green Chillies
  10. 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger Dry Powder
  11. 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  12. 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  13. 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  14. 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  15. 1/2 Teaspoon Amchur Powder
  16. To Taste Salt
  17. 2 Carrots
  18. 250 Grams Beans
  19. 10 Green Peas
  20. 2 Chilies Green
  21. 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder Red
  22. 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  23. 1 Teaspoon Oil
  24. To Taste Salt
  25. 1 Onion
  26. 1 Sprig Coriander Leaves

Method

    Add Photo

    Soak Soya Chunks in brine solution for 15 minutes. Soak rice in water for 15 minutes.

    Prepare a paste by grinding onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander leaves, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.

    In a pan, mix together the drained soya chunks and the above paste and stir well. Add ginger garlic paste, dry ginger powder, cumin powder, amchur powder, garam masala, red chili powder and salt and mix well.

    To the above soya mixture, add drained rice and mix well.

    Pressure cook rice in 2 cups of water. Cook till three whistles are sounded.

    In the pan, stir fry grated carrots, chopped beans, green peas and green chilies along with salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder

    Add the pressure cooked rice to the above mixture and mix well.

    Finally, garnish with sauteed onions and coriander leaves.
