Onion Chilli fritters

Fried onion and chilli fritters.. pyaaj ki bhajiya..

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup Gram flour
  2. to taste Salt
  3. 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tablespoon Coriander powder
  5. 1/2 tablespoon Cumin powder
  6. 1/2 tablespoon Mango powder
  7. 1 pinch Asafoetida
  8. 1/4 tablespoon Garam masala
  9. 1/4 tablespoon methi Kasoori
  10. 1/2 tablespoon Mint powder
  11. 1 number Onions (sliced thinly)
  12. 4 numbers Spring onions (sliced thinly)
  13. 1 number Green chilli (finely chopped)
  14. Cooking oil for frying
  15. to taste salt Black

Method

    Add Photo

    Take the gram flour (besan) in a big bowl and add all the dry spices to it. Mix well and add water to make a paste. The paste must not be too thick or too runny.

    Add all the onions and green chilli to the mixed paste and mix well again.

    Heat oil on high in a deep pan. When hot, turn the flame to medium-high and add the mixed paste with spoon in circular motion.

    Slowly add all the mixed paste to the oil and turn the heat to medium. Let it fry for 5-7 minutes till they become crispy.

    Onion bhajia is ready. Take out the bhajia on a kitchen paper to drain the extra oil. Sprinkle black salt and serve with steaming chai.
