Orange Blast Malpuas with fresh halwa/rabri

  1. 2 - 3 tablespoons orange tang powder
  2. 3/4 cup milk powder
  3. 1 // 2 cups milk
  4. 1/2 teaspoon ghee
  5. 4 - 5 tablespoons maida
  6. 3/4 cup milk
  7. 1 - 2 tablespoons sugar castor or powdered
  8. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  9. 1.5 cups sugar
  10. 1.5 cups water
  11. 1 teaspoon cardamom powdered
  12. 1 teaspoon cinnamon nutmeg powdered
  13. 2 drops saffron strands1 / essence -
  14. 1/4 to fry oil for cup
  15. milk / halwarabri to serve

Cooking Instructions

    MMake orange sugar syrup first. In a saucepan add the sugar and water and put in high flame till sugar sugar dissolved and reach single thread consistency. Add the cinnamon nutmeg cardamom powders. A tablespoon of orange powder and the saffron. Allow tp cool.

    Next,make khoya by mixing milk powder with the milk 1/2 cup heated with the ghee into a bowl and mix well till creamy.

    In a separate bowl, take the maida,and add the other milk quantity and mix to a paste.add the khoya and stir well. Add the castor sugar and make a loose droppin consistency batter. Add the orange powder. At time of making add the baking powder.

    Into a tawa,nonstick pan add the oil or ghee. Pour spoonful oof batter into oil like a circle in batches of two or three.

    Turn when done on one side.keep on low flame,making it gold on both sides. Let it cool for 2-3 seconds and dip into warm syrup

    Let them stay for few minutes. Serve onto a plate. Garnish with pista nuts,badam flakes and tutifruti.

    Serve hot with remain syrup drizzled with a spoon of rabri or milk halwa!!!
