Dates Cake
Delicious cake that is very easy to make and a good recipe for beginners.
Ingredients

250 grams Dates

150 millilitres water Hot

1 teaspoon Baking soda

250 grams Butter
-
200 grams Brown sugar

3 nos Egg

1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

2 tablespoons Brandy (optional)

250 grams Plain flour

1 - 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder

White sugar powder (for dusting)
Cooking Instructions

Remove the seeds from the dates and soak in hot water with baking soda for 5 hours.

Preheat oven 180°and start your preparations.

Add butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl and beat them well until it is light and fluffy. Gradually add egg one by one and beat this also well. Add vanilla essence and brandy (optional) and mix well.

Add the plain flour and baking powder and mix well. Add the dates mixture with water and mix well.

Grease the baking tray and transfer the mixture to it and bake in the preheated oven fro 50 minutes.

Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire racks. Once it is cooled down completely, dust the cake top with powdered sugar.
