Short cut phirni

This is the easiest version of phirni that i know of. Cooks in no time and you can serve it either warm or chilled.

Ingredients

4-serving
  1. 1 milk Tinned evaporated
  2. 3 Tablespoons rice ground
  3. 3 Tablespoons sugar
  4. handful almonds slivered -
  5. 4 cardamom , crushed
  6. a few strands saffron -

Method

20 mins
  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    In a cooking vessel bring to a boil the evaporated milk(you can use 1-1/2 cups of half and half or whole milk if you dont have tinned evaporated milk.)

    Add cardamom and sugar and cook on medium flame for 15 mins. Keep stirring it every now and then or the bottom might burn.

    Add Photo

    Add ground rice slivered almonds and saffron and cook for another 10 mins. Pour into serving bowls and serve chilled!
