Smoky BBQ Sauce

A wonderfully easy, sweet and smoky BBQ sauce that can be eaten with your favorite burger, fries and even chicken wings. Enjoy.

  1. Olive oil (for frying)
  2. 1 onion small , (peeled and finely diced)
  3. (finely chopped) 2 cloves garlic – 3
  4. Salt
  5. black pepper Freshly ground
  6. 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  7. 1 Teaspoon paprika smoked
  8. 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
  9. 2 Teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  10. 4 - 6 Tbsps tomato ketchup

    Add Photo

    Heat oil in a frying pan, add onion and garlic with some seasoning (Salt and Pepper) and the sugar, and fry for 5 minutes until softened.

    Add paprika and stir well. Cook for 10-15 minutes until onion is caramelizing.

    Add the vinegar and let it cook out for a few minutes.

    Add Worcestershire sauce and tomato Ketchup, mix well and continue to cook for about 8 minutes until sauce has reduced to a dropping consistency. Add 1-2 tablespoon water if the sauce gets too thick.

    Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.
