Simple Chickpea Salad

One common dish my mom makes during ramadan. Chickpea Salad for Iftar. Simple and Tasty :)

  1. 250 Grams Chick Pea
  2. 1 Onion Chopped
  3. 1 Tomato Chopped
  4. 1 Bunch Cilantro Chopped
  5. 1/2 Lemon
  6. 1 Pinch Mustard Seed
  7. 1 Tablespoon Oil
  8. to Taste Salt
  9. Water for Boiling

  1. Add Photo

    Soak the Chick peas either overnight or for atleast 4-6 hours.Boil the chickpeas and drain the stock and keep it Aside

  2. Add Photo

    Heat the sauce pan,add oil and crackle the mustard seeds.Saute Onion till translucent and add chopped tomato along with required salt.Add the boiled chickpea and Stir the mixture.

  3. Add Photo

    Cook it for about 10 mins.Add cilantro and squeeze the lemon juice and mix.Serve Hot
