A delicious side dish which goes really well with chapatis, roti & parathas!
Grind chopped onions, ginger, garlic, chilli in a mixer to make a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds and once its starts crackling add asafoetida and onion paste.
Saute the onion paste till its brown and add the tomato puree.
Mix it well and add red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, sugar and cook it for about 7 - 8 mins till its almost dry.
Add water to the paste and mix it well by adding some cream/malai.
Add green peas, coriander leaves, boiled potatoes and mix it and cook it for a while.
The dish is ready to be served hot with any Indian Flat Breads.
