Potato Peas Curry

A delicious side dish which goes really well with chapatis, roti & parathas!

Ingredients

  1. 1 & 1/2 cups Tomato Puree
  2. 1 cup Green Peas Boiled
  3. 2 Potatoes Boiled and diced small
  4. 1 tbsp Cream Malai /
  5. 1 Ginger small Piece
  6. 2 cloves Garlic
  7. 1 Green Chilli
  8. 3/4 tsp Garam Masala
  9. 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  10. 3/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  11. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  12. Salt
  13. 1 Onion Chopped small
  14. 1 tsp Sugar
  15. 1 tbsp Oil
  16. Coriander Leaves

Method

30 mins
  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Grind chopped onions, ginger, garlic, chilli in a mixer to make a smooth paste.

    Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds and once its starts crackling add asafoetida and onion paste.

    Saute the onion paste till its brown and add the tomato puree.

     Mix it well and add red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, sugar and cook it for about 7 - 8 mins till its almost dry.

     Add water to the paste and mix it well by adding some cream/malai.

     Add green peas, coriander leaves, boiled potatoes and mix it and cook it for a while.

     The dish is ready to be served hot with any Indian Flat Breads.
