Bread Potato Cutlet

A deep fried tea time snack ; All of my friends who visit my house have been big fans of this cutlet made by my Amma. It is a tried and tested recipe which has been satiating my craving for deep fried snacks ever since I was a kid.

  1. 4 Potato
  2. 10 - 12 Bread
  3. 1 Teaspoon Gingerchopped
  4. 1 Teaspoon chilly Green chopped
  5. 1 Onion finely chopped
  6. 1 Tablespoon Maida
  7. 1 Tablespoon Coriander leaves finely chopped

  1. Add Photo

    Boil the potatoes, cool, peel off skin and mash well.

  2. Add Photo

    Soak the bread one by one (white or brown bread), mix the boiled potatoes, soaked bread and Maida. Saute inion, ginger and green chillies and add them as well.

    Make patties and deep fry in oil. Maybe You could toast in a Tawa if you do not wish to deep fry but I have not tried that yest :) - The way you make tikkies on a non stick pan.

    You could add green peas or carrots additionally. If you want the cutlet to be spicy, add dry powder like red chilli or garam masala.

    But the cutlets just taste fine without any masalas !
