Rich and creamy side dish, suited to have with Rice & Roties

Ingredients

2-serving
  1. 1 Cup Masoor Dal
  2. ¼ Cup Moong Dal
  3. 2 Chilly Green
  4. 1 Teaspoon Ginger Paste
  5. 1 Teaspoon Garlic Paste
  6. ¼ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  7. Salt
  8. ½ Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  9. ½ Teaspoon Seeds Nigella
  10. 1 Chilly Red
  11. 1 Onion , Sliced
  12. 1 Tomato
  13. 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  14. 3 Tablespoons Coriander Leaves
  15. 1 Teaspoon Butter

Method

    Add Photo

    Mix the two dals together and thoroughly wash.

    Cook the washed dals, with chillies, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt and 3 cups of water in a pressure cooker. Cook till the dals are tender.

    Remove the chillies and whisk the dal till it is smooth.

    Saute the mustard seeds, nigella seeds and red chilli in the ghee in a pan. Continue till the onion is translucent

    Then add tomatos and continue saute for 4-5 mins

    Add the kept aside dal into the pan, mix well and cook till boils.

    Serve hot garnished with coriander and butter.
