Dried Mas and Drumstick leaves curry

Dried Mas is a Lakshadweep Island product made up of dried Tuna. We get them in Kerala very rarely. Makes it all the more delicious.

  1. 100 Grams Tuna Mas Flakes
  2. of 1 bunch drumstick leaves
  3. 1 onion
  4. 2 chillies green Fresh
  5. 1/4 Teaspoon turmeric
  6. 1/2 Teaspoon chilli powder
  7. 1 Tablespoon coriander powder
  8. 1/2 Teaspoon fennel seed powder
  9. to taste salt
  10. 2 Tablespoons coconut , grated
  11. 2 - 3 shallots
  12. 1 Tablespoon oil

  1. Add Photo

    Saute onions, green chillies for 2 minutes.

  2. Add Photo

    Add all the masala powders. Roast for one minute.

  3. Add Photo

    Add tuna flakes. Fry for another minute.

  4. Add Photo

    Add 1/2 cup hot water and leave it on simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Add Photo

    In a grinder, make a smooth paste of the coconut and shallots.

  6. Add Photo

    Add the drum stick leaves and the coconut paste to the mixture. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Add salt to taste.

  8. Add Photo

    Serve hot with chappathis.
