Motta Vellappam (Pancakes)

The batter is similar to pancakes but it is made in a very unique clay pot.

Ingredients

1-serving
  1. 1 Cup All purpose flour
  2. 1 Egg
  3. 1.5 Cups Water
  4. to taste Salt
  5. 1 Cup Coconut Milk

Method

15 mins
  1. Add Photo

    Blend all ingredients. Be careful with the water. Pour one cup and check the consistency. It should be thicker than pancake batter.

  2. Add Photo

    Pour batter onto the pot. Wait for the dots to appear.

  3. Add Photo

    Cover with a lid for 30 seconds or until it is cooked.

  4. Add Photo

    Remove from the pot. Pour hot ghee or clarified butter on top.

  5. Add Photo

    Serve hot with coconut milk and sugar and melttttttt.

  6. Add Photo

    Alternately, you can also eat this with any type of curry.
