Black Magic Cake

Chocolate is almost everybody's favorite dessert. So I thought, why not bake something so luscious and rich that one just can't refuse. The chocolate flavor blends so well with the kick of the coffee. It is super delicious cake to have ever crossed your lips.

Ingredients

  1. 1 3/4 Cups Flour
  2. 2 Cups Sugar
  3. 3/4 Cup Cocoa Dark
  4. 1 Cup Butter milk
  5. 1 Cup Coffee , hot
  6. 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
  7. 2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
  8. 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  9. 1 Teaspoon Salt
  10. 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  11. 2 Eggs
  12. 1 Cup Cream Double
  13. 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Method

    Chocolate Cakes:

    Preheat the oven to 325 F.

    Grease and flour two 9" pans.

  4. Add Photo

    In a mixing bowl, stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

    To this mixture break in the eggs, add buttermilk, coffee, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes (this batter will be thin)

    Pour the batter into the pans and bake for 30-40 mins till the cake tester comes out clean. Do not over bake.

    While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate frosting.

    Chocolate Frosting:

    Heat the double cream in a saucepan till its hot and not boiling. If microwaving, set the timer for no more than 90 secs.

    Let the hot double cream cool for about 2 mins.

    Add in the chocolate chips and whisk the mixture.

    The chocolate chips will blend in and a dark thick mixture will form.

    Refrigerate for thicker consistency.

    Once the cakes are ready, invert it on a cooling rack and let it cool completely.

    To get an even surface for frosting, I used the cake layers upside down.

  16. Add Photo

    Now spread the frosting evenly on the bottom layer. Place the top layer on it and spread the remaining frosting to ice the whole cake.

    Decorate as you wish.

    Cut a slice. Trust me, you will be spell bound.
