Ragi / Millet Dosa

A healthy dosa prepared from Ragi (Millet). Quick preparation.

  1. Oil
  2. 1 Cup Ragi Flour
  3. 1/4 Cup Rice Flour
  4. 2 Teaspoons Rava
  5. 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  6. 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds Jeera /
  7. 1 Onion (Optional)

  1. Add Photo

    Mix the Ragi and Rice flours, Rava, Cumin Seeds and Salt and make the Dosa Batter. Optionally, add finely chopped onions.

  2. Add Photo

    Add salt to the taste and leave the batter covered for almost 12 hours to ferment.

  3. Add Photo

    Heat a tawa, grease with oil. Spread the batter with a big spoon. Can big enough till 5"-6" diameter.

  4. Add Photo

    Cook till a light brown. Cook the other side also.

  5. Add Photo

    Serve! Tastes best with Tomato-Onion Chutney or Coconut Chutney
