This is my style of malabar biriyani, this is an easy to cook biriyani that i do it my from apartment in Bangalore.
You will need a 5 liter Pressure cooker for this to prepare.
In frying pan cut 1 onions and fry them in ghee, add nuts, rasins fry them a bit more and keep aside.
In the pressure cooker Cut 2 onion and chilli fry with coconut oil, once it's brown in color add curry leaves fry again.
Grind ginger and garlic in a mixer make it paste and fry with above mixture.
Cut 2 tomato and fry with the above mixture, once it's pulp then add chicken masala, biriyani masala mix, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and salt. add 2 cup water.
Add chicken above mixture, and keep it 10 minutes in the stove.
Wash the rice properly and add to the above mixture.
Add water to 75% of cooker capacity. anything more and it will overflow from the pressure cooker. anything less and rice will stick to the bottom and get burned.
Close the pressure cooker, put on the weight, switch the flame to medium and run it till you hear one whistle.
Switch of the pressure cooker after the whistle keep it till the pressure subsides.
Add the mix from step 2 to the top of the cooked biriyani.
