This dish was prepared for the subreddit, /r/52weeksofcooking, where the theme was "Native Australian". Ever since I was in Australia, I have been craving Kangaroo and this was my excuse to buy it. So worth it. This was absolutely juicy and delicious.



  1. 1 lb Ground Kangaroo meat
  2. 1 Egg
  3. 1/2 Cup Breadcrumbs
  4. 3/4 Tablespoon Garlic , minced
  5. 1/2 Onion , diced
  6. 1/8 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
  7. 1/8 Cup Chili Sauce
  8. to taste Hot Sauce
  9. 1 teaspoon Thyme Dried
  10. 1/2 teaspoon Oregano Dried
  11. to taste Black Pepper Ground
  12. 1/2 Carrot Large , peeled and grated
  13. 1/2 Red Onion , sliced
  14. 4 Burger Buns

    Mix all ingredients except purple onion in a large bowl.

    Form into 4 patties.

    Heat up BBQ and slice red onion.

    Cook onion on medium flame for 6 minutes for first side and 5 for the other side.

    Cook until medium or medium rare (about 4 minutes for the first side and 3 minutes for the second).

    Place cooked patties and onions on buns and top with any condiments if desired.
