  1. 1 cup dal urud -
  2. 1/2 cups channa dal kadala / parippu -
  3. 20 red chilli dry -
  4. 1 tablespoons sesame seeds -
  5. curry leaves few
  6. 3 garlic
  7. 1/2 teaspoon pepper corns
  8. pinch asafoetida powder a
  9. to taste salt

    Heat a pan, fry first 7 ingredients separately.Leave it aside and wait till it cools completely.Once cooled, transfer the ingredients to a mixer jar, add the required amount of salt and asafoetida powder, and grind it to a fine powder. Its done. Keep it in a air tight glass bottle.
