  1. 1/2 kg Beef – cut into small pieces ,
  2. 2 Onion , – sliced finely
  3. 1 Ginger small – piece
  4. 2 Green chili –
  5. Salt
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Coconut oil
  8. To Grind
  9. 1 tbsp Ginger –
  10. 5 - 6 cloves Garlic –
  11. 1/2 tsp Pepper –
  12. 1/2 tbsp Chili powder –
  13. 1 tbsp Coriander powder –
  14. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder –
  15. 1/2 tsp Fennel (perumjeerakam) -
  16. 2 Cardamom –
  17. 1 Star anise (thakolam) –
  18. 1 Cinnamon small – piece
  19. 3 Cloves –

Method

    Add Photo

    Grind together the ingredients listed under “to grind ” to a smooth paste.

    Heat 3 tblspn oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion.Saute till they turn light brown.Then add garlic,green chillies and curry leaves.Saute till the raw smell goes.

    Add in the masala paste and mix well.Then add the beef pieces,sprinkle enough salt.Add 1 cup water,cover and cook till the beef is done.(cooking time varies depending on the meat and also pressure cooker you are using ; adjust according to yours.I cooked it for just 3 whistles in high flame and then in low flame for 10 more mints.)
