Pulao made of Palak keerai(spinach)

Ingredients

4-serving
  1. 2 bunches Palak - Chopped ,
  2. 2 nos Onionchopped -
  3. 2 cups Basmati Rice rice / Normal -
  4. To Powder (1):
  5. 2 teaspoons Corriander seeds -
  6. 5 chillies Red -
  7. 1 teaspoon Urad dal -
  8. 1 Gram daal - teaspoon
  9. 1/2 teaspoon Methi seeds -
  10. To Powder (2):
  11. 2 tablespoons peanut Roasted -
  12. To Temper :
  13. 2 tablespoons Oil -
  14. 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds -
  15. 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds -
  16. 5 - 6 Cashew -
  17. To taste Salt -
  18. pinch Turmeric - a

Method

  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    1\. Cook basmati/normal rice and keep aside.

    Heat oil in a pan and add the ingredients for Powder(1). Grind it dry once cool.

    In the same pan, add Powder (2) ingredients and dry grind it.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,cashew and chopped onions. Fry till onions becomes translucent.

    Add the chopped palak, turmeric,salt and fry till the mixture becomes dry. Do not add water as palak has water content

    Once the above mixture becomes dry, add peanut powder and mix well.

    Remove from flame.

    Add the cooked rice, Powder (1) mixture in the above cooked palak and mix it well. Add salt if required.
