Drumstick leaf with Moong daal

Muringa leaf is best known as an excellent source of nutrition and natural energy booster. Muringa is considered to have the highest protein ratio of any plant so far identified. Muringa is also soothing. It helps lower blood pressure and is a sleep aid. Its detoxifying effect may come from Muringa's ability to purify water. Moringa acts as a coagulant attaching itself to harmful material and bacteria.

  1. 1 cup Moong Daal -
  2. 1 cup Drumstick leaves -
  3. ¼ tsp Turmeric powder -
  4. 2 Chilly Green -
  5. 2 nos Garlic -
  6. 1 tbsp Coconut Oil -
  7. a few Curry leaves -

Method

20 mins
  1. Add Photo

    Detach the drumstick leaves from the stem.

  2. Add Photo

    Cook Moong Dal and drumstick leaves with Water, Garlic, Green chilly and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistle.

  3. Add Photo

    (You can grind coconut with garlic and add) - But mine is without coconut

  4. Add Photo

    In a small pan heat rest of the coconut oil and mustard seeds, red chilies and curry leaves. When mustard seeds starts popping switch of heat and add to cooked dal muringa mixture.

  5. Add Photo

    Enjoy warm with rice or roti.
