Gooseberry Pickle

One easy recipe of goose berry pickle which requires no sunlight or drying in the sun. For me its the first time I am preparing a pickle and trust me, it came out so good!

  1. To fry Oil
  2. 10 - 15 nos Gooseberry
  3. ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  4. ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  5. 1 Ginger piece
  6. 2 - 3 nos Garlic
  7. ½ cup chilly Red powder
  8. ½ tsp Mustard powder
  9. ¼ tsp Fenugreek powder
  10. ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  11. To taste Salt
  12. ½ cup Lime juice


  1. Add Photo

    Heat some oil in a pan and add the gooseberries into it. Deep fry it and transfer it into a bowl.

    Meanwhile, heat some oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, crushed ginger and garlic and saute it and keep aside.

    Finally, to the fried gooseberry bowl, add red chilly powder, mustard powder, fenugreek powder, turmeric powder, salt, lime juice and the above oil tempering and mix nicely.

    4\. Now gooseberry pickle is ready. So before having it, you may keep it under refrigeration for two -three days for a perfect blended taste!
