#yes the chicken momos

Delicious things comes in small packages..! Seasoned with sauces, steamed and served with garlic chutney. Eaten as a snack or a main dish and can also be fried. Native toNepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Sikkim and other Himalayan states of India..the very special steamed dumplings with veg/non-veg choices, none other than..momos!

  1. 1 cup Chicken minced (250g)
  2. 1 tbsp Ginger chopped
  3. 1 tbsp Green chillies chopped
  4. 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  5. 2 teaspoons Soy sauce
  6. 1/2 cup Onions chopped
  7. 1/4 cup Coriander leaves chopped
  8. Salt per taste
  9. pinch Sugar
  10. 2 cups All purpose flour (maida)
  11. Salt as per taste

  1. Add Photo

    For Covering:Combine flour and salt in a bowl, mix well. Add sufficient water and knead into a soft dough.

  2. Add Photo

    For Filling: Combine the minced chicken, ginger, green chillies, garlic, soya sauce, chopped onions, coriander leaves and a pinch of sugar. Adjust the salt set aside.

  3. Change

    Now divide the dough into sixteen small portions. Shape them into balls and roll out thinly. Put a teaspoon of the filling in the middle. Bring all edges together to the centre, making small tight pleats.

  4. Change

    Pinch and twist the pleats to ensure that the momos is closed tightly.

  5. Change

    Steam in a steamer for about twenty minutes.

  6. Add Photo

    Serve hot with tomato-garlic sauce.
