Vindaloo is a spicy curry popular in Goa. It can be prepared with any meat such as beef, pork or mutton.
Cut beef into small cubes, keep aside.
Grind together all the ingredients listed under 'Vindaloo Masala' into a fine powder, keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, saute onion until golden brown. Add ginger and garlic, saute.
Add vindaloo masala and vinegar, saute well till the mixture turns dark brown. Add beef and stir for few minutes, add salt and water. Pressure cook the beef until it is done.
Stir in sugar and cook until the gravy is thick. Serve hot with nan, chapathi, white rice etc.
