Grilled lemon prawns

Prawns are always a welcome dish at our home. Its easy to cook with the simplest method and yet get a delicious juicy grilled prawns. A tinch of herbs and the tangy flavor of lemon is just an awesome combination for the prawns.  I bet you can't resist yourself from eating them all........same happened at home too....it just got over in no time....

  1. 18 - 20 Prawns (cleaned and deveined, but with tail intact) (jumbo)
  2. 6 tbsps Olive oil
  3. 2 tsps Ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 tsp White pepper powder
  5. 1 tsp Oregano (dried)
  6. 1 tsp Parsley (dried)
  7. ½ tsp Red chili flakes
  8. 4 tbsps Lemon juice
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 1 lemon zest

    Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl to form a marinade

    Marinate the prawns in it and refrigerate it for 4-5 hours

    Remove the prawn from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to grilling

    Preheat the oven at 200 degrees

    Skewer the prawns and roast them for 12-15 minutes or till prawns become opaque and fully cooked

    You can also grill the prawns on charcoal grills till done

    Serve hot with yoghurt mint chutney

    NOTE:If using bamboo skewers, soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes, this will avoid the burning of skewers while oven roasting
