Prawns with kiwi and leek

Ingredients

  1. 500 gms Prawns (jumbo) (cleaned and deveined, tail intact)
  2. 2 Kiwis (slightly under riped) sliced or cubed
  3. 1 Leek sliced
  4. ½ cup Bell peppers (cut in juliennes)
  5. 1 inch Ginger grated
  6. 6 (finely chopped) cloves Garlic
  7. 1 tsp Chives (dried)
  8. 2 sprigs Celery (chopped)
  9. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  10. ½ tsp Chili flakes
  11. 1 tbsp Green chili sauce
  12. ½ tsp Chili soy sauce
  13. 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  14. 1 tsp Black peppercorns (coarsely crushed)
  15. Salt as per taste
  16. 1 tbsp Butter
  17. 2 tbsps Oil
  18. ½ tbsps Cornflour
  19. sesame oil 2 tbsps

Method

    Mix lemon juice in prawns and keep it aside for 15 minutes

    In a pan, heat butter, add sliced leek and sauté for 2 minutes till its soft, keep it aside

    In same pan, add prawns and sauté on high heat till it turns pink, keep it aside

    Mix cornflour in 2 tbsp of water and keep it aside

    In a wok, heat oil, add chopped garlic and grated ginger, sauté till its golden

    Add bell peppers, chili soy, green chili sauce, chili flakes, chives, celery and crushed peppercorns, toss on high heat. Add cornflour mixture and mix

    Finally add prawns, leek, kiwis and salt,drizzle sesame oil, sprinkle sesame seeds and toss well on high heat for a minute

    And there you are, prawns with leek and kiwis are ready to be served

    Dish out and serve piping hot with steamed rice or garlic rice
