Chicken Clear Soup

With shredded chicken

Ingredients

3-serving
  1. 3 cups Chicken stock
  2. 1/2 cup Chicken , cooked and shredded
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons Cornflour
  4. 1/2 teaspoon Lime juice
  5. to taste Pepper powder
  6. to taste Salt
  7. 250 grams Chicken pieces
  8. 4 cups Water
  9. 1/2 cup Onion , chopped
  10. 1 teaspoon Ginger , chopped
  11. 1 teaspoon Garlic , chopped
  12. 4 numbers Clove
  13. 1 number Cinnamon piece
  14. 1 teaspoon Black peppercorn , crushed
  15. 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  16. 3 numbers Shallot , sliced
  17. 2 teaspoons Ghee

Method

    Add Photo

    Combine all the ingredients listed under 'For Chicken Stock' in a deep pan, bring to boil. Reduce flame and cook until the chicken is done and water is reduced to 3 cups.

    Strain the stock into a deep pan. Discard everything except chicken. Shred the chicken pieces with your hand and keep aside.

    Add lime juice, cornflour and shredded chicken to the stock and bring to boil. Adjust salt and pepper.

    Heat ghee in a small pan, fry sliced shallot and add this to the soup. serve hot.

    NOTE- Mix the cornflour with 1 tablespoon water before adding to the soup.
