Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sift it. Add melted butter and mix well with your hand. Sprinkle water little by little to make a soft dough. Set aside for half an hour
Knead the dough again and divide it into small balls and roll each balls into thin sheets. Using a knife or cutter cut into diamond shapes.
Heat oil in a pan, gently place the diamond cuts into oil. Cook in low flame. Keep stirring and turn over for even cooking. Fry till golden brown and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar and cardamom. Store in airtight container.
