the perfect winter drink. the ginger in this helps to soothe sore throats. more importantly, it goes amazingly well with pakoras! all you need is a cup of this, a plate of pakoras and rain... pure bliss!

Ingredients

  1. 1 Cup milk
  2. 1 Cup water
  3. 1 inch ginger piece , coarsely grated 1
  4. to taste sugar ,
  5. 2 Teaspoons tea leaves

Method

    In a saucepan, bring the water to boil.

    Just as the water starts forming small bubbles (on the surface of the saucepan) add the grated ginger (just wash the ginger and grate, dont bother peeling it).

    When the water just begins to get into a rolling boil, add the tea leaves. allow to boil for a good minute (lesser if you want your tea lighter, more if you want your tea stronger. u gotta wing it).

    Add the milk, bring to the boil and reduce the heat to a simmer. simmer for about 30 seconds (or longer, whatever floats your boat!).

    Strain into cups. add sugar if desired. serve piping hot!
