This is definitely an easy way to cook a steak indoors without a grill..

Ingredients

  1. 450 Rib eye steak
  2. Olive Oil
  3. Pepper Ground
  4. Salt
  5. Sauce Steak (Optional)

Method

    Bring the steak to room temperature.

    Heat the skillet over high heat.

    Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides. (rubbing seasoning into meat with fingers)

    When the pan is ready, brush the steak with olive oil on both sides and immediately place the steak in the middle of the hot dry pan.

    For well done steak, cook one side for 3- 4 minutes.

    Turn with tongs and cook the other side for another 4 minutes. It is always good to seal the end of the steak.

    Remove steak from the pan, cover loosely with foil, and rest for 2 minutes.

    Serve whole or slice thin. Brush it with steak sauce.(optional)

    If you don't have 'meat thermometer', you can check the 'doneness' of your steak by touch : Rare- soft to touch : Medium rare- yields gently to touch : Medium- yields only slightly to the touch & is beginning to firm up : Medium to well done - firm to the touch.
