Mushroom Omlette

a nutritious breakfast dish which can be made really quick! a slight deviation from the boring old bread-omlette routine... this is one breakfast dish you're sure to never get tired of!

Ingredients

1-serving
  1. 2 brown eggs
  2. 8 white mushrooms , sliced
  3. 1/2 onion , finely chopped
  4. 1 Clove garlic , finely chopped
  5. 1 Tablespoon butter
  6. To Taste salt
  7. To Taste pepper

Method

    Add Photo

    Crack the eggs into a bowl, add a teaspoon of iced water (this helps the eggs become fluffy) and beat it well with a fork.

    Add salt and pepper, set aside.

    In a non-stick frying pan, melt the knob of butter.

    Add the garlic, onion and mushrooms and sautee till cooked and fragrant.

    Pour the beaten eggs over the mushroom, and cook covered on low heat fro about 2 minutes.

    The center should be set. at this point, flip it over and cook the other side.

    Serve with toast on the side.
