Maple-Walnut Oatmeal

this is a yummy brekkie for when you are totally strapped for time. its ready in minutes! this recipe is for one serving, so adjust the quantities accordingly for more. :)

Ingredients

1-serving
  1. 1/4 Cup oats old fashioned
  2. 1 Cup water
  3. 1/8 Cup maple syrup
  4. 1/8 Cup walnuts
  5. Pinch cinnamon ground
  6. Pinch salt

Method

15 mins
  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Add salt and ground cinnamon to room temperature water and mix well. bring it to the boil.

    Add the oats and mix well till the oats are cooked through (about 10 minutes should do).

    Add the maple syrup and chopped walnuts, stir to combine.

    Take it off the heat, garnish with a walnut half and a drizzle of syrup and serve!

    Optional: you could add a dash of milk to the oats while cooking (before adding in the nuts) if you desire a richer, creamier consistency.
