Ingredients

5-6 servings
  1. 150 gm Rawa
  2. 4tbsp Ghee
  3. 6-7strings Saffron
  4. 200gm sugar
  5. 2tbsp Cashew powder
  6. 10-15 Raisins
  7. 1tsp Cardamom powder
  8. 4-5 cups Water

Method

  1. Edit

    Heat 2 tablespoon of ghee in a pan on low medium heat. Add the sooji, and roast stirring continuously, add cashew powder and roast, sooji should be light golden brown in color, this should take about 7-8 minutes.

    Boil the water with sugar, in a pan over medium heat. Bring the syrup to boil, mix it making sure sugar is dissolve...

    Stir in medium flame for 4-5 minutes and add raisins

    Add cardamom powder to this Add the remaining ghee 1 tbsp at a time and cook for 1-2 minutes stirring continuously. Rava Kesari will start leaving the sides of frying pan.

    Grease a plate with ghee and spread the kesari in it and after cooling down,cut into diamonds with a knife
