Masala mathri
Ingredients

1 cup plan flour/ maida

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

4 tsp ghee
-
1/2 tsp carrom seeds/ ajwain

1 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp black pepper powder

1 tsp salt to taste

Oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions

Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, and knead into stiff dough using enough water. Divide the mixture into equal portions.

Roll out portion of the dough into a diameter circle. Prick the matari with a furk at regular intervals.

Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry matari on a medium flames for about 8 to 10 minutes or till they golden brown on both sides.

Drain on a absorbent paper, cool them to room temperature and enjoy masala matari with a cup of tea.
