Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup rice
  2. 1/2 cup jaggery
  3. 2 tsp moong daal
  4. 2 cup milk
  5. 1 pinch cardamom powder
  6. 2 tsp ghee
  7. 1 tsp chopped mix nutes (almond, cusheus, raisins, pista)

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice and moong daal in water and drain. heat the milk in heavy bottomed pan and let it come to boil.

    Reduce the heat to low, add rice and moong daal. On simmer or low flame, cook until rice and moong daal is tender.

    Add jaggery and cardamom powder. keep stirring until jaggery melts and thickens. add ghee and chopped nuts, mix in to kheer/ payasam, then serve hot and warm.
