Pearl Millet Dosa

#millets - A healthy gluten free dosa- rich in minerals and proteins. Easy digestible.
This pearl millet dosa can be consumed by diabetics, those who wish to to reduce weight.

  1. 1 cup Pearl Millet
  2. 1.5 cups Black gram
  3. 2.5 cups Rice
  4. 1 teaspoon Salt
  5. as needed Oil for frying

    Soak black gram, pearl millet,rice for 3 hours.

    After three hours,grind it into a smooth paste in a wet grinder. Add water to get a consistency as that of dosa batter.

    Transfer the above batter into a large vessel. Add salt and mix it well.

    Heat a cast iron pan or a flat non-stick pan over a medium flame. Smear some oil over it.

    Spread the dosa batter in a circular way on the pan.

    Cook the dosa on a medium flame. Sprinkle some oil on top and edges.

    Cook it till it's base becomes golden and crisp.

    Now turn the dosa carefully and fry the other side also.

    Once it is cooked evenly, fold it carefully. Transfer it into a serving plate.

    Serve hot with coconut/avakaya (mango pickle).
