#Healthy recipe with millets

Ingredients

3 person
  1. 1 cup bajra
  2. 1/2 cup rice
  3. 1/2 cup moong dal
  4. 1 medium size onion chopped
  5. 2 green chilli chopped
  6. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. 1/4 tsp asefotida
  8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1 tsp fennel powder
  10. to taste Salt
  11. as needed Desi ghee for cooking
  12. as needed Fresh corriender leaves chopped
  13. 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds for garnish and serve

Method

  1. Blank step
    Add Photo

    Clean and wash bajra and soaked it for atleast 6 hours,Moong and Rice also soaked seprately for an hour

    When all soaked nicely,mix all in a cooker add requiere water and salt and cook it for medium flame for 4 to 5 whistle blow

    Now heat ghee on non stick pan,add cumin seeds and onion,when onion turn in translucsent in colour add green chilli,hing,turmeric and fennel powder,simmer it for a minute now add already cooked bajra and Rice mixture and mix well

    Now cook it for 4 to 5 minutes in low flame

    Now Bajra and Rice Khichdi is ready to serve,serve hot with ghee, pickle.sprinkle some roasted sesame seeds and some chopped corriender over it at time to serve.
